A visit here is a must for a great family day out in North Wales. Mini rail enthusiasts can embark on a 9 mile return journey at Llanuwchllyn station, before being transported to Rheilffordd Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake Railway), on a delightful trip along Bala Lake, through the stunning Snowdonia National Park.
The narrow gauge steam trains are designed to give excellent views of the lake amid its surrounding scenery including the nearby mountains of Arenig Fawr, Aran Benllyn and Aran Fawddwy.

All trains start and finish there day at Llanuwchllyn station, where families can enjoy a snack in the cafe, visit the locomotive sheds, or enjoy the heritage centre.
Family tickers are available for £13.50 and dogs can ride for £1. Kids under 3 travel for free.
