The adventure play area is perfect for a good run around and is ideally suited for children between the ages of 3 and 10 years old. The Adventure Play area contains a number of different areas, all providing a range of sensory experiences for little explorers including climbing walls, a wonky walk and adventure towers, encouraging children to use their imaginations as they play in the outdoors. With plenty of decking outside, parents and carers can watch the kids whilst they enjoy a nice beverage.
Maybe you want an activity a little more relaxing? Windy Bank Wood offers tranquil walks through the edges of ancient peatland, open meadow and newly created woodland. At a distance of 3 miles, a walk with children will take around an hour and a half. The walk is perfect for pram users but please note that an alternative starting route is highlighted. Why not follow the eco explorer trail, an interactive nature trail designed to help youngsters lean all about key plants and animals. The trail is differentiated by age with infant (4 – 7), junior (7 – 11) and extra hard (11+) options available.
Open on selected Sundays, you are welcome to explore Weeping Ash, one of Cheshire’s most beautiful gardens and one of only 29 Cheshire Gardens of Distinction. The different areas of the garden are cleverly hidden and a visit here will make you feel as though you have escaped into a secret garden.
