Families can enjoy a free day out with kids in Oswestry, Shropshire whereby they can enjoy exploring 60 acres of sculpture parkland at this unique attraction.
Explore the metal sculpture trail where you will come face to face with a dragon quietly perched on top of a car, gigantic giraffes, zebras, rhinos, monkeys and more. Look at the wonder in children’s eyes as they come face to face with the Spoon Gorilla, gigantic tarantula, and majestic elephant. The Knife Angel is not to be missed, made entirely of knives handed in during a knife amnesty. You will be shocked! To help enhance the enjoyment of the children, an activity map will provide clues and problems for little explorers to solve as they undergo the impressive trail. They will receive a prize and a certificate at the end.
British Ironworks are constantly adding new masterpieces to their collections so if you are lucky, you may catch the metal workers in action.
There are also a number of workshops for children to enjoy such as painting, pottery and even ‘goo-making’ as part of the kids club.
