Cambrian Railways Museum is located in the historic border town of Oswestry. With its origins from the 1860’s, the museum tells the story of the history of the railway with a range of different memorabilia to aid your learning journey, including numerous photographs, signs, lamps and signal box fittings.
Cambrian Heritage Railways operate at two sites, one at the station in Oswestry (SY11 1RE), the other at Llynclys about 4 miles south of the town (SY10 8BX). Both sites have a buffet, a shop and offer train rides. They also have much of general railway interest, including the Cambrian Railways Museum on the Oswestry site.
Cambrian Heritage Railways also has a world war I exhibition whereby families can learn all about the importance of Oswestry as a hub for wartime railway transport.
Adjacent to the museum is the impressive Cambrian Station building which has been recently restored and brought back into use for short train rides.
Trains run every weekend from Easter to September.

*Due to the nature of the building, those with limited mobility may have difficulty as there are two steps to navigate.
