Located in a picturesque spot on the bank of the River Mersey, this 100 acre park provides great views across the estuary. Children may like to see the boats passing by before heading into the Country Park itself.
Can you spot any mini beasties as you go exploring through the woodland? Paths are easy access for buggies. The kids and dogs are free to run around in the open spaces whilst you enjoy a peaceful and relaxing walk. Can you find the old bear pit on your travels? This bear pit forms part of the remains left behind from a Victorian theme park. Although dogs are very welcome, there is a dogs free play area for the kids to explore too.
If you feel like some light refreshments, there is a visitor information center and also a small garden tea room where you can purchase an ice cream. Alternatively, there are also the two local pubs located on the riverfront.
