Who wouldn’t love this miniature train? Near the main entrance of Chesters Grosvenor Park, this miniature Diesel run (and occasionally steam run) train will take our little tikes on a half a mile circuit, chooooo choooooing over the wooden viaduct next to the duck pond, past the play area, round the bend near the war memorial, and back to the station. Our little conductors may be lucky and spot a friendly squirrel or two along the way!
The fleet of locomotives include the main train GP40, which you can usually see in action every day, plus a No 1 Class 47 Diesel engine.
There’s a small gift shop with Thomas The Tank Engine souvenirs, and a loyalty card is available.
Additional information: *Please note the train does get busy during peak times but there is no time on your ticket so you may just have a little wait. Adults are allowed on the train with children who require support e.g. those with additional needs and toddlers. *Toilet and cafe facilities located nearby within the park or within Chester city centre. *Prams and wheelchairs can be stored.
