This dog friendly park is a true favourite of ours. Grosvenor Park is a Grade II registered, Green Flag Award winning public park located just outside the city of Chester’s historic walls overlooking the River Dee.
The park has a considerable history as one of the finest examples of Victorian parks in the UK,. The park now forms a valuable open space for the local community and visitors to the city, offering a wide variety of activities including the Activity Zone which is a large play area for children, The Lodge Café, Open Air Theatre and Miniature Railway.
Together with the riverfront and neighbouring St. John’s Church and ruins, Grosvenor Park is a must to pass an hour or two. Feed the squirrels, feed the ducks on the lake and enjoy the sunshine with the kids….. An excellent choice when looking for things to do with kids in Chester.
Additional information: *Fully accessible for pram and wheelchair users, with a combination of steps or slops to get access to the riverside or St. John’s Church ruins. *Public toilets located nearby on the river front.
