For a fabulous free family day out in North Wales where you can soak up the sunshine, look no further than a visit to Llandudno beach and promenade.
The largest of Wale’s resorts, Llandudno can boast two award winning beaches, Llandudno North Shore Beach and the quieter, sand duned West Shore Beach. Feel the sand between your toes, build sandcastles, go for a paddle, explore the naturally formed caves, take a donkey ride, enjoy a Punch and Judy show, or go on a boat ride to enjoy a water based tour of the Ormes.
Take a relaxing stroll along the Victorian Pier and admire the Victorian architecture and impressive views out to the Irish sea. Located between the Great Orme headland and the Little Orme, these backdrops provide a truly picturesque family walk, filled with Victorian and Edwardian splendour. The wide promenade makes the stroll simple for pram and wheelchair users. Alternatively perhaps you would like to cool off in the open-air pool?
For more modern attractions such as water zorbing and fair ground rides, take a stroll along the grade II listed pier, also a perfect place to pick up some sweet treats. Perhaps you could even go crabbing? Will you be lucky enough for something to take a bite?
Take a ride on the tram and head to the Great Orme for incredible views of the town below. Perhaps you would like to explore some copper mines?
As you can see Llandudno makes an excellent choice when looking for things to do with kids in North Wales. The choice is endless!
