A visit to Llandudno isn’t complete without a trip to Llandudno’s iconic, Grade II pier. With a large array of family friendly shops and food stalls, the longest pier in Wales offers fantastic views out to the Irish sea.
During the summer season, there is live music at the bar every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
For families, a visit to Leisure Island (located at the promenade end of this Victorian Pier) or The Deck Aracade (at the end of the pier) is a must. Open all year round except for Christmas day, families can enjoy a range of arcade style games, a great option for kids on a rainy day in North Wales.
Halfway down the pier there is a range of fun fair rides including a wavy slide which is always a big hit with the kids.
Families can usually also go on a quick sail from the pier with one of the excursions. You can book in advance or pay on the day.
There is also a fishing tackle shop if you need a little bait for some crabbing off of Llandudno Pier. Fishing is permitted on the Pier Landing Stage and Day Fishing Permits are available from the Café at Pier Head.
Additional information: *The platform is suitable for prams and wheelchair users though the pier does get incredibly busy during peak times such as Bank Holidays.
