Park Hall The Country Experience

Park Hall The Country Experience

Description

Park Hall Farm offers an excellent day out for families in Shropshire regardless of the weather. Children will be kept entertained for hours with a new activity running every thirty minutes.

If families would like to spend their time outdoors in the fresh air, they can visit the Woodland Adventure Play area or the Crazy Farm Adventure Course where children can climb to their hearts content and fly on a zip wire. The four play houses are a popular choice, facilitating children to explore their imaginations. Perhaps a bounce on the space hoppers is in order? Enjoy a tractor ride, peddle the Go Karts or take a visit to the driving school. How about an off-road mini Land Rover experience? For a more relaxing activity, families can visit and explore Sycamore Wood. Don’t forget to stop what you are doing to cheer on your favorite pig in the Pig Race!

Rainy day? No problem. The indoor ‘Sand and Water Play’ activity zone has lots of interactive activities including a Giant Whirlpool, a Wave Tank, Rocky Rapids and a Duck Race. For some imaginative play, visit the role play village “Little Oswestry” where children can pretend to host a tea party, treat an animal in the vets, dress up as a fireman, or run a grocery shop. For children under three, there is a dedicated toddler zone and for children aged 11 years and over, they can enjoy nets, ropes, slide, rollers, punchbags and more. The Brickworks is suitable for all ages and includes a lift to move bricks from one level to another and a chute to transport them back down again.

Of course no visit to the farm is complete without seeing some farmyard animals. The small animal centre allows families to meet and pet the rabbits and guinea pigs and learn about their daily routines. You can also meet the horses in the Stable Yard, and children can enjoy grooming the ponies.

There are also four museums at Park Hall; a Victorian School, Welsh Guards Collection, an Iron Age Roundhouse, and even WWI and WWII trenches where families can imagine the challenging conditions endured by officers defending their country.

So when looking for things to do with kids in Shropshire, you will be spoilt for choice with a visit to Park Hall Farm.
