Rhyl Beach and Promenade

Rhyl Beach and Promenade

Denbighshire - Days out with kids

Description

Rhyl is a traditional sea side resort. Rhyl’s golden sandy beach stretches approximately two miles from the Clwyd Estuary to Splash Point. When the tide goes out, families will get a little workout as they can run up to half a mile in order to take a little dip in the sea.

Bathing is generally safe on the main beach, but can be dangerous towards the west where the River Clwyd creates fast currents. At the time of publication, Trip Advisor reviews were complimentary regarding the cleanliness of the beach.

Being a traditional sea side town, families may opt for a donkey ride, visit the funfair, or spend some time indoors in the amusement arcades. There is also a skate park, children’s paddling pool, SeaQuarium and a little further up a miniature train and the beautiful marine lake.

Rhyl is currently benefitting from a huge cash injection to revitalise this town and as such the town benefits from a number of new attractions such as a large indoor water park (SC2 Rhyl).
