Families can enjoy spotting a number of different wildlife species whilst walking on one of the nature trails and the wildlife is constantly changing in line with the seasons. In the summer, you’ll spot nesting birds like avocets and lapwings, while the skies fill with pink-footed geese and wigeons in the winter. Can you also spot the butterflies, owls and hares?
Nature trails available:
1. Trail to Sandgrounders’ Hide from car park 300m, suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
2. Trail from Nel’s Hide to car park, 550m, suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
3. Footpaths along old sea-wall and coast road make round trips of 1.8 miles (3km), 2.5 miles (4km), and 4.3 miles (7km) possible for able-bodied persons.
