Sankey valley follows the course of Sankey Brook and the now disused Sankey Canal. The park is enjoyed by families for a quiet walk, cyclists and anglers can even take in a spot of fishing.
The central section of the park is very much family orientated with children’s play area, a maze, BMX curse, Orienteering course, park art work and sculptures and of course lawned areas for a good run around. There are also a meadow and a mature woodland to explore too. Depending on the time of your visit, you may be lucky to spot a bat or two. Other inhabitants include foxes, squirrels, weasels, swans, water voles and other typical woodland animals.
