Sudley House will transport visitors back in time where they can learn all about the Victorians. Visit the children’s room where you will learn all about what life was like for children in this era, and explore toys both old and new. Learn about the class divide which is evident even in the number and style of toy available. Visit the small world room where you will see all toys as a miniature version of things that represent real life including animals on Noah’s Ark and dolls houses. Explore the miniature trains and ships, and learn about how toys were used to define gender roles at an early age.
Families can also learn all about some fantastic artists including Turner, Millais and Rossetti.
