Go back in time to 59 Rodney Street.

Description

Go on an epic journey back to the 1950’s and take a guided tour of this once well-loved Georgian family home and photographic studio.

Step into a time capsule of post war years and compare the well presented business rooms with the cramped living quarters of well renowned photographer Edward Chambré Hardman and his wife Margaret Hardman who lived and worked here for 40 years! Explore the original studio and dark room, and their bohemian home. Can you identify any products you still use today? Have you spotted the unopened food rations? Don’t forget to admire their collection of photographs on display as you take your tour, including some interesting portraits of their pets. Take a family stroll in the small but quaint 1950’s style walled garden.

To keep the kids entertained, why not get them helping Bick the dog? Bick needs to solve many mysteries so children will go on the hunt and try to solve cryptic clues and riddles. Just simply pick up one of the quizzes from reception.
