On Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st July we are proud to be hosting our ninth annual Countryside Fair at Blakemere Village celebrating our 25th Anniversary.

This event is inspired by County Shows (only a lot smaller obviously) mixed with a traditional Village Fete to create a day out for all ages to enjoy. Open from 10am until 5pm each day, this brilliant family friendly event celebrates the best of our beautiful British countryside and the many pursuits available locally. This year’s event headlines are Chain Saw Carving, The Extreme Bike show, Dog and Duck Show as seen on Countryfile not forgetting enjoy animals, fun dog shows, artisan stalls, Free craft activities, arena displays and demonstrations, fair rides, local clubs and associations, delicious food stalls, outside bar, Live Music, Fair Rides for all the family and much more.

Plus, don’t miss our Free Fun Dog Shows held each day, so if you have a dog with the shiniest coat or its most talented or best dressed you may want to get involved! We also have categories for cutest puppy, best junior handler and the dog the judges would most like to take home. Registrations must be submitted each day before 12 noon, with categories running from 12.15 until 13.15, culminating with the Best in Show.

Wristbands are issued on admission so that visitors can come and go from the Fair throughout the day so that you can also enjoy the many other attractions and activities also on Blakemere Village, from numerous small independent shops selling everything from Yankee Candles, Silver jewellery and Pip Studio china to golf wear, artisan gifts, cupcakes and traditional sweets in our restored Edwardian stables. Or stroll around the village, which is also home to a upmarket pet shop, an aquatics centre, fashionable ladies’ boutique, furniture shops and huge Vintage & Collectables Emporiums.

But if shopping isn’t your thing then enjoy one of our many activities! Blakemere offers a gem of fantastic outdoor and indoor activities for all ages – there’s archery, Segway, crazy golf, a play barn and low ropes, pottery painting, micro-brewery tastings and tours and much more. And if you fancy a welcome break pop into The Village Restaurant & Coffee Bar for delicious food and drink, in fact why not relax on their patio with a nice glass of wine! Or call into Heirs & Grace Tea Room for a nice pot of tea or coffee served in beautiful china – we bet you won’t be able to resist one of their gorgeous cakes.
