Details
Visit Catalyst Science Discovery Centre and Museum FREE OF CHARGE on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September.
The offer this year includes:
* Free access to the Centre
* The new Baker Gallery which charts the history of the production of chlorine at Castner Kellner in Runcorn since 1897, led by local chemist Harry Baker.
* A Brunner exhibition which explains the story of the great chemical industrialist, Sir John Brunner, who worked in the Catalyst building in the 1860s and who was one of the benefactors who funded and opened the Runcorn – Widnes Transporter Bridge in 1905.
* A community led exhibition of local people’s memorabilia celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969.
Soap Suds workshops will run at 11.30am and 2.00pm and The Medicine Show will run at 12.30pm and 3.00pm (These both attract a small cost)
