Located in a beautiful Woodland Trust site, these Saturday Stay and Play sessions by Douglas Tree Forest School are suitable for children age 2-7 years. Each week the forest school sessions have a number of structured activities or games on offer. There are also resources that children can access during each session, allowing them the opportunity to revisit ideas and build upon their learning experiences. Children are encouraged to use their senses whilst they unknowingly develop their confidence, resilience and creativity.
Sessions include some time for free play, adult led games and activities, access to a range of resources and tools, trained staff who will be on hand to scaffold children’s experiences, hot and cold drinks on offer, fresh fruit for children if required. Sessions finish around the fire circle with a tasty treat such as toasted marshmellows.
Two sessions are available, a morning session at 9:30-11:30 and an afternoon session at 12:30-14:30.
This weekend activity for kids can be booked as a one off or in multiples. There is a lovely community feel, with lots of the children forming new friendships.
