There is so much to do for families this weekend, there’s no way we could put it all on our blog. Therefore, feel free to visit for more family events. We will be adding all summer events in the coming weeks for things to do with kids in the Summer Holidays.

*Baby and Toddler – Storytelling and Play session at Quarry Bank Mill

*Family FUNdraiser for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital

Our next free guided walk in the woods will be at 2pm Sunday 14 July – guided by Friends of Duke’s Drive committee member Jennifer Haley. We will go at a slow pace off the beaten track and with regular stops to allow children time to explore the woods, meadows and ponds.

*Poynton Summer Fest

*Summer Train Rides At The Hayloft

13th and 14th July, 10am until 4.30pm.

Whitfield Light Railway is at The Hayloft Ice Cream and Coffee Shop (WA8 3XR), providing train rides through the summer. Trains will be pulled by either our steam tram ‘Kestrel’, or petrol loco ‘Otter’.

On-track entertainment is headlined by the hair-raising Time Attack Championship, with incredible cars and drivers alike going head-to-head to see who can set the fastest lap of the track. *Meet Nick Butterworth, Dunham Massey

13th to 14th July at from 11am.

Come and meet bestselling children’s author and illustrator, Nick Butterworth, as he talks about his much-loved character Percy the Park Keeper. In this fun and interactive session Nick will bring Percy’s park to life with stories and live drawing. Find out about Percy’s return in his new book, One Springy Day.
